The Destin Seafood Festival, one of the area's most anticipated events, marks the beginning of the Destin Fishing Rodeo, a month-long celebration in October. Established in 1978 by the Destin Charter Boat Association Women’s Auxiliary, the festival has grown and is now held on the lively Destin Harbor Boardwalk. This event is the main fundraiser for the Destin Charter Boat Association, a nonprofit founded in 1954 that champions fisheries management, supports local community projects, and awards a scholarship to the Miss Destin Pageant winner.
The main Destin Seafood Festival will be in full swing, offering a vibrant weekend filled with delicious seafood, live entertainment, and fun for the whole family. In addition to the general festivities, this year features an exclusive VIP experience. On September 26 and 27, a special, more intimate seafood festival will be held within the main event. This ticketed gathering offers a chance to sample the best seafood from local chefs and restaurants, enjoy craft beers, and partake in unique activities.
