Description

A casually elegant, luxurious villa filled with magnificent, Mediterranean vibes, Water Cottage & Carriage House is quite possibly the perfect spot for your family’s next coastal getaway. Boasting beautiful design touches like arched doorways, exposed wood beams, and classic cobblestone walkways, this sprawling estate also features a private pool with a waterfall, an efficient elevator, and soaring views of the nearby Gulf of Mexico from the top floor terrace.

The main level of the cottage is wide open and welcoming and features a LIVING AREA with two overstuffed sofas surrounding a chunky wood coffee table. This space also includes a large HDTV and a grand fireplace (not for guest use). Next to the living area is a formal DINING TABLE with seating for eight.

In the nearby open KITCHEN, a spacious stone island has more seating for five and a stainless steel farmhouse sink. This chef-inspired space also features a restaurant-quality gas range, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, and a gigantic refrigerator. Next to the kitchen is the LAUNDRY ROOM, with a marvelous, high-efficiency, top-of-the-line LG washer and dryer.

Outside through the French doors, you’ll find your own private COURTYARD, complete with an outdoor kitchen, a swimming pool with a relaxing water fountain feature, and a quaint outdoor living area. This leads to the CARRIAGE HOUSE, which features a LOFT BEDROOM with a king-size bed, a full BATHROOM, a LIVING AREA, and a KITCHENETTE— perfect for in-laws, older children, or anyone in your group that’s looking for a smidge more privacy.

Back in the cottage, the second level features an inviting MEDIA ROOM with a large HDTV, a magnificent WRAP-AROUND PORCH with wonderful views, and four fantastic bedrooms. The FIRST AND SECOND GUEST BEDROOMS are peaceful, private suites, both with one queen-size bed and one twin-over-twin-size bunk bed and FULL, ENSUITE BATHROOMS. This level also includes another BUNK ROOM with a twin-over-twin-size bunk.

The second floor also features a pristine PRIMARY BEDROOM SUITE with a sumptuous king-size bed, and an ATTACHED SPA BATHROOM with a double vanity, a step-in shower, and an impressive, free-standing soaking tub. On the third floor, there is another GUEST BEDROOM that features a king-size bed.

We loved almost everything about this house with the exception of the door alarms that lead to the pool. Florida law requires door alarms if you don't have a fence around a pool so I understand but during Thanksgiving week when the weather was cool and beautiful, it was torturous to not have the ability to open the doors for alfresco dining...We had 3 kids 10 and under in our party and it was also hard for them to reach the button to disable the alarm so they could enter/exit the door leading the the pool patio. With that being said, I am still rating the home 5 stars because the space was so comfortable for us. The location is perfect and the flow of the house is great for large families or multiple families. We all had plenty of privacy, sound did not travel through the house and the kids had a blast. Note- the fireplace was not working, neither was the gas grill. The management company brought us a portable grill and mentioned both items were being worked on. We also did not have access to park in the garage as we thought we would with our open air Bronco..The pool heater however worked FABULOUSLY. Thank you 30A Luxury Vacations.
